Just-in-time on the agreed delivery date.

The cross-laminated timber elements ordered are bound and delivered to the construction site just-in-time on the agreed delivery date.

The integrated unloading time is usually 3 hours. During this time, the components can be unloaded or removed directly for installation. Loading plans tailored to the assembly sequence are drawn up in advance together with the carpentry workshop. If the 3 hours for unloading or assembly from the truck are not sufficient, it is possible to extend the standing time on an hourly basis or to unhitch the trailer (alternating journey).

Services included in the freight price

  • Loading the CLT elements onto the semi-trailer
  • Open semi-trailer (40t) as standard transport
  • Lashing the load and covering the cargo
  • Delivery to the specified address. Delays caused by general traffic must be tolerated
  • Preparation for unloading (lashing and tarping the load)
  • Agreed downtime on the construction site

Services not included in the freight price - Requirements for the customer

  • Ensure that access to the delivery address is permitted and unrestricted for the selected means of transport
  • Special transports that deviate from standard transport, such as excess width, steering axle, trailer combination, short trucks, etc., must be requested in good time. Special transports must be requested and ordered in good time. The costs of special transports usually differ from the standard freight price
  • Transmission of an access plan or directions to the construction site address for the selected transport
  • Ensuring that the construction site is passable for the commissioned means of transport, unhindered access to the construction site for the selected transport, official permits if necessary
  • Provision of a suitable and approved parking area for the unloading process
  • Provision of a suitable and approved area for changing saddles in the event of a changeover, which must be secured in accordance with road traffic regulations (e.g. barrier tape, lighting)
  • Provision of a suitable and sufficiently dimensioned lifting tool (crane) for unloading and manipulating the CLT elements
  • Unloading and moving the CLT elements

If access to the construction site and/or trafficability is not given, for example due to poor subsoil, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure proper paving. Please note that any damage caused by poor accessibility is the responsibility of the customer without exception (e.g. also damage to land on the neighboring property).

The customer shall ensure that the goods are taken over at the place of delivery by an authorized and appropriately competent person who shall take over and carry out the unloading at the customer's risk.

Any additional expenses incurred due to non-compliance with the above points shall be borne by the customer.

The CLT elements are exclusively lying on an open semi-trailer.

Service life

The transport price includes 3 hours standing time for unloading per transport.

The downtime starts when the delivery is ready for unloading. The standing time ends when the semi-trailer is completely unloaded. Standing and maneuvering times are noted on the delivery bill and must be signed by the driver.

The extension of the standing time or additional services will be invoiced as follows:

  • Additional standing time for standard saddle (€ 70.00 per hour)
  • Additional standing time for steered trailers and special transports with escort (at cost)
  • Additional shunting work on the construction site (at cost)
  • Inspection of the construction site access road (at cost)

(billing is per hour or part thereof)

Change rides / unsaddling

Alternate journeys or deliveries can only be made possible if ordered in good time.

Swap trips (shuttle transport) means that "unloaded" standard open semi-trailers are swapped for "loaded" standard open semi-trailers according to a specified logistics plan. The costs incurred for the swap trip can be quoted individually on request, depending on the distance to the construction site and the desired requirements.

The customer is responsible for providing a suitable, approved and secured area (e.g. with barrier tape and lighting) in accordance with road traffic regulations for unhitching and rehitching. The customer is liable for any damage to the semi-trailer between the drop-off and pick-up times.

For special transport deliveries with a width of 3 meters or more, or for accompanied transports, unsaddling or swap bodies are not possible.

Items owned by the carrier

The semitrailer combination, the lashing material, special wooden supports and the tarpaulins are the property of the haulier. Unauthorized transfer of the trailer is prohibited. Damage caused during unloading activities, waiting times or idle times will be charged to the customer. The responsibility for the completeness and proper safekeeping of the equipment of the semi-trailer, such as underlays, belts, edge protection, tarpaulins, etc., is transferred to the customer during the downtime. Missing equipment will be charged to the customer.

Loading sequence

If a loading sequence is agreed, the loading plan approved by the customer shall apply. However, the guidelines of the road traffic regulations and specified axle loads on the truck must be observed during loading. For this reason, there may sometimes be deviations from the loading sequence requested by the customer.

Postponement of delivery dates

A postponement of delivery dates is only possible upon request and agreement. Any postponement and storage costs incurred will be listed and invoiced individually.

For on-time delivery, the customer must approve the control documents (plans, nesting, order confirmation) in good time. If there are delays on the customer side, the delivery date will be postponed to the next available production date.
