MASS TIMBER SOLUTIONS (MTS)
MTS is the strong CLT partner for all carpentry and timber construction companies.
From inquiry to delivery.
Cross-laminated timber (CLT) is an innovative wood-based material with the potential to replace concrete and steel in modern construction. With the increasing demand for sustainable buildings and the trend towards larger timber constructions, CLT is enjoying great popularity as a solution for ceilings, roofs, walls and stairs.
CLT, also known as cross-laminated timber, consists of several single-layer boards that are joined together at alternating right angles. This bond is achieved using a special structural adhesive. This innovative construction makes CLT ideal for the production of large ceiling, roof and wall elements.
Together we will find the right product for your CLT project. Our experienced team of technicians is always at your side. We take care of professional joinery and assembly planning for your project. With our reliable logistics planning and delivery, you will always receive your material on time.
You have full price transparency at all times so that you know exactly what you are getting and what you are paying for. Your personal, direct contact person supports you at all times, from the initial inquiry through to delivery. You can also track the progress of the project online at any time.
A dry construction site, improved sound insulation, and sustainable building methods for modern construction.
The CLT wall / solid wood wall allows you to move from the ELT and HLS prefabrication to profit. The pre-milled channels make the installation of technical cables and systems considerably easier, so that you can save time and costs and a smooth construction site management can be guaranteed. At the same time, they guarantee high quality and precision in the design.

The solid wood wall offers several advantages, including high strength and stability, fast construction, sustainability as a renewable raw material, excellent thermal and sound insulation and flexible design options. They enable efficient and precise installation, reduce construction time and offer a durable and environmentally friendly solution for various building types.
CLT outperforms traditional materials in several aspects. It is lighter, which makes it easier to handle and transport, while still offering comparable or even greater strength. The prefabrication of CLT elements allows for faster assembly on site, reducing labor costs and construction time. In addition, its renewable nature and lower carbon footprint make CLT a sustainable alternative to concrete and steel.
Yes, CLT has excellent fire protection properties. In the event of fire, a natural carbon layer is formed that acts as a protective barrier. This carbon layer slows the spread of flames and maintains the structural integrity of the CLT elements. CLT structures have been extensively tested and meet stringent fire safety regulations.
CLT is a sustainable building material that promotes environmentally friendly construction methods. It is made from renewable wood resources, which supports responsible forest management and reduces the use of fossil fuels. The CLT manufacturing process generates minimal waste, and offcuts or leftover materials can be recycled or used for energy recovery. In addition, the carbon sequestration property of wood helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change.

CLT WALLS
An old building material is rediscovered! Solid wood has been used for building houses since time immemorial. The building material is light and yet stable, practically available everywhere and even thermally insulating. And when used correctly, the building material is durable - Centuries-old wooden houses are not uncommon. Cross laminated timber takes up the advantages of wood as a building material and, thanks to its special structure, offers the following advantages constructive advantages: The crosswise gluing ensures a high degree of dimensional stability and leads even with changes in humidity to prevents swelling and shrinkage deformations due to moisture changes in the panel plane. CLT panels also enable a biaxial load transfer (longitudinal and transverse load-bearing behavior), a dry construction method and a sufficient fire and sound protection. The high degree of prefabrication and the large-format elements also allow for fast construction times.
Cross-laminated timber (CLT) consists of solid wood layers that are cross-laminated and glued together. The structure has at least three layers. This creates an extremely stable piece of wood, which consists of 99.4% wood and only 0.6% ecologically harmless glue. The structure in combination with the waterproof glue is sufficient - the panel is airtight. A separate film or time-consuming masking is no longer necessary.
CLT solid wood panels for walls (C-elements) are prefabricated in the factory and fulfill all static, building physics and fire protection requirements of modern residential construction. Depending on the application, lengths up to 16 meters and widths up to 3.50 meters are possible.
You can choose from a variety of surface finishes. We offer CLT in the following quality grades:
- Industrial quality (IQ)
- Industrial area quality (ISQ)
- Living area quality (WSQ)
This makes cross-laminated timber not only a high-performance structural material, but also an economical and individual solution for interior design with finished ceiling surfaces.
Lifting equipment or recesses for lifting gear are planned in advance and pre-installed at the factory. This allows for quick and efficient assembly directly from the truck. Examples of planned lifting systems include:
- Pitzl Power Clamb
- Würth transport anchor
- Sigha Pick
- Rothoblaas Wasp transport anchor
Slot milling on site for the electrical and/or heating installation is superfluous. During the planning phase boxes, outlets, ducts, openings and the like are defined and planned. In the factory, the joinery systems integrate the specified ELT and HLS into the panel. This can be used for both non-visible and visible areas.
The crosswise gluing ensures a high degree of dimensional stability. In contrast to solid wood or Glued laminated timber the material no longer "works" significantly, even with changes in moisture, the wood is not damaged at the board level. The crosswise structure is 'locked'. Swelling and shrinkage deformations can thus be virtually ruled out.
Likewise, CLT panels allow for the right-angled gluing of the board layers, enabling a biaxial load transfer (longitudinal and transverse load-bearing behavior) and making, for example, cantilevers possible.
