Their skills and expertise help bring buildings to life, but they don't always get the recognition they deserve - especially when it comes to sustainable timber construction. The advantages of sustainable timber construction:
When done correctly, sustainable timber construction offers numerous advantages over concrete, masonry or steel construction methods. First of all, it is much quicker and easier to build with timber than with these materials, meaning projects can be completed faster and more efficiently. Also, timber is lighter than concrete or steel and therefore requires less energy to transport and assemble on site, making it a good choice for projects with tight budgets or schedules. Finally, wood is an excellent insulator, which means that buildings constructed with wood require less energy to heat and cool, which can save money in the long run.
