Sustainable educational building: the new daycare center in Wetter
In the town of Wetter, an innovative kindergarten was built in 2024 that focuses on sustainability and modern timber construction. The project was designed by Ferdinand Heide Architekt Planungsgesellschaft mbH and implemented by our client. Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Peter Klaus is responsible for the structural analysis.
The daycare center is being built using CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) construction, which not only ensures a fast construction time, but also offers ecological advantages. CLT enables flexible room designs and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere for children and teachers.
With the new building, the city of Wetter is setting an example for future-oriented educational construction that combines functionality, aesthetics and environmental awareness.
